Vident is an early-stage company. We build SPECTER OS, an AI-native operating platform for ETF trading and asset management, and we work directly with asset managers on the AI and data problems around it.

WHY WE STARTED
The work is not hard because the people are bad at it
Every ETF operation we have worked with runs on the same hidden infrastructure: the morning checks, the reconciliation, the exception chasing, the audit trail reconstructed after the fact. It is expensive, it does not scale, and it is invisible on any org chart.
It happens because the work is spread across a dozen systems that were never designed to talk to each other, so the coordination ends up living in people's heads. We started Vident to put that coordination somewhere it can be seen, reviewed and improved.

Deterministic where it matters, agentic where it helps
Most AI in financial services fails for one reason: it guesses at numbers. We do not guess.
Nothing gets ripped out
Vident sits above the portfolio management, order management, custody and market data systems a firm already runs. Replacing those is not the product.
A human on every approval
Approvals are configured, not implied, and every agent action and human decision is logged. If a regulator asks what happened, the answer is in the log.
THE COMPANY
Small, focused, and early
Vident was founded by Donal Bishnoi, CFA, who spent more than twenty years running ETF and institutional portfolios — 21 US-listed ETFs at ETF Managers Group, 20 at OppenheimerFunds, and leveraged ETF products at Tradr; earlier, at Tuttle Capital Management, Moore Capital Management and Franklin Templeton — alongside eight years as a senior risk manager. He built the portfolio management, trading and reporting systems behind those desks himself.
